Grenoble, France

Up into the mountain city of Grenoble! Located at the base of the French Alps, and host of the 1968 Winter Olympics, this city is beautiful! The air is fresh, the lush mountains tower over the city and the people are relaxed and love the outdoors. I would love to see Grenoble covered in snow!

Whitney and I enjoyed visiting the cathedral and wandering through the endless tangle of narrow streets. We also spent time in several museums, although our favorite exhibits were those in English! We learned about the history of Grenoble, Mountain People, the culture of Tibet, the history of skiing, the Alpine Military, etc.

We enjoyed a beautiful view of the city after taking a cable car into the foothills overlooking Grenoble. We wandered around the hillside and explored caves and paths created by military years earlier.
