Nice, France

After a 14-hour travel day, Whitney and I arrived in Nice! The train ride across southern France was beautiful - very green and lush, vineyards, coastal towns and cliffs, the beautiful, green water.

Nice is a city of shopping and beach-hopping! Each street corner is packed with shops and clothes and artwork. This morning, Whit and I enjoyed the chance to walk through the city's major street market - very old dishes and jewelry and art. Then we hiked up to the main lookout point and had a beautiful view of the coast.

The beach in Nice is full of ROCKS and pebbles so you must bring a pad to lay down when sun-bathing! Most people travel by bus to the neighboring cities to enjoy sandy beaches. I hear the beaches in Cannes are quite nice. Tomorrow, off to Monaco for the day!
